R Series
The popular ‘R’ Series rafts are the workhorses of the AIRE fleet. These boats are ideal for carrying people and cargo. ‘R’ stands for ‘round’, meaning a traditional round boat design. ‘R’ Series rafts have a broader beam, large tube diameters and long waterlines making them the most stable of all AIRE rafts.
The 143R is versatile and an excellent option for people who need one raft to do it all. It’s not too big to run as a paddle boat with up to seven people and not too small to gear up and take friends on multi-day expeditions.
- Big Stable Tubes: As an R “Round” Series raft, 143R raft tubes maintain their 20” diameter all the way around the boat, giving you the confidence and stability you need to plunge into rough water.
- Long Water Line: The 143R has a 109” waterline that will consistently keep the boat on track.
- Durable Design: One of the most common wear points on rafts are the seams. When you look at the 143R’s side profile, you can see that the grey fabric on the bottom of the boat continues toward the ends until it comes off the ground, virtually eliminating excess wear points on the bottom of the boat.

D Series
The ‘D’ Series rafts evolved from the sporty design of the Puma and Super Puma. The ‘D’ refers to the diminishing tubes of the bow and stern of this model. The ‘D’ series design offers a maneuverable and responsive boat while being able to accommodate large loads.
The 143D is the perfect combination of size and maneuverability. Outfitted with a frame, the 143D is a sporty rowing option for extended trips on wild rivers. It’s also is easy to maneuver and has plenty of room for a 5-7 person paddle team including the guide. Keep the ride exciting with a 143D.
- Diminished Bow and Stern Tubes: The 143D’s diminished tube diameter in the bow and stern, makes it our most agile 14′ raft. Small tubes also make for a fun splashy ride.
- Continuous Curve Design: The 143D has a continuous curve that helps it cruise through the water. It also minimizes wear points on the bottom of the boat.
- Versatile Size: 14′ rafts are a great all-around size for both rowing and paddle boating with friends.

E Series
The ‘E’ stands for the ‘elliptical’ shape. The ‘E’ Series rafts feature a high rising, pointed bow and a squared stern. The squared stern makes a nice platform for the paddle captain. ‘E’ Series rafts rise 2 inches higher in the bow than our ‘R’ series rafts. ‘E’ series boats have a slightly narrower beam and smaller diameter tubes.
Once you’ve gotten in an Elliptical Raft you may never want to go back to a conventional raft again! The 143E is one of 3 AIRE E Series rafts. They are built to track straight through rapids, cruise through big holes, surf waves and keep the bow moving forward when the river would rather bring it to a halt. The AIRE 143E does well with R4-R7 paddle teams and with a frame for day trips.
- Narrow Feel: With a width of 6’ 6” and it’s pointed bow the 143E feels narrow the water.
- Unique Bow Design: The 143E’s bow flies up from the water at an abrupt angle, giving it an advantage when navigating holes and big drops in the river. It’s also pointed, helping it to shed water and get back on top, when other designs may not.
- Straight Side Tubes: We’ve designed the 143E with straight side tubes that help stay on course.
- Guide Friendly Stern: Have you ever found yourself wishing you had a better seat as the guide? The AIRE 143E’s stern is made for you. It’s wide and flat and close to the water.
