A beach spike serves two purposes. One, you don’t have to go searching for rocks or logs to haul and bury. Two, you can sleep well at night knowing that your boat is securely anchored and not going to drift away (We know it’s happened!). Be ready. Many rivers are requiring stakes, and if we all use one, there won’t be those rocks others left at rivers edge to stumble over at night and mangle your toes.
